Docs / Account
Sign-in & security
Sign in with Google, GitHub or an email and password. Connect several sign-in methods to one account, and see every browser where you are signed in.
Ways to sign in
- Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub on the sign-in page.
- An email address and password.
If you sign in with a new provider for the first time and its email address matches an existing Planytic account, you are signed in to that account.
Connecting Google or GitHub
Go to Settings → Security and connect a provider. It is linked to the account you are signed in to, even if its email address is different. For example, a GitHub account that uses a personal email can sign you in to your work account.
Each connected provider shows its avatar, username and email address. You can disconnect one as long as you still have another way to sign in.
Signing in with GitHub is different from connecting repositories
Signing in only identifies you. To show pull requests on tickets, a project admin connects repositories in the project's settings. See GitHub.Adding a password
Accounts created with Google or GitHub have no password at first. Use Set password in Settings → Security to sign in with your email address as well.
Devices
Settings → Security → Devices lists every browser where your account is signed in. Signing one out ends its session immediately. You can also sign out all other browsers at once.
When you sign in from a new browser, Planytic may email you a code to confirm that it's you.
