Platty assistant
Platty is the assistant built into every project. Ask it about your tickets, have it draft or update work, or share a screenshot or file with it. It never makes a change until you confirm.
Opening Platty
Inside a project, click the Platty bubble in the bottom-right corner. Use the expand button for a wider panel, which helps with tables and long answers.
What Platty knows
- The project you're in, plus its boards, columns, epics, labels and members.
- What's on your screen: the current board, the open ticket or the open document.
- Who is asking. When you say "my tickets", Platty means tickets assigned to you.
Platty only sees projects you belong to, and it has the same permissions you do.
Actions and confirmation
| Ask for | What happens |
|---|---|
| Search tickets | Runs straight away and shows the results. |
| Create a ticket | Shows a proposal card. Nothing is saved until you confirm. |
| Update or move a ticket | Shows a proposal card listing the changes. |
| Comment on a ticket | Shows a proposal card with the comment. |
Click Confirm on the card or reply "yes" to apply it. Your administrator decides which of these actions Platty is allowed to take.
Files, images and audio
- Images, such as screenshots and mockups. Platty can read them and attach them to a ticket it creates.
- Documents, including PDFs and text files, for summaries or for turning a spec into tickets.
- Audio (experimental), for example a voice note describing a bug.
Platty sends each attachment to a model that can handle it, all within the same conversation.
Usage limits
Each person has a message allowance that resets daily, weekly or monthly at a set time, depending on how your administrator has configured it. Platty shows how many messages you have left and when they reset.
For administrators
The Platty AI page in the admin console controls the models used for chat, images and audio, along with temperature and other options, the system prompt, which actions are allowed, and the allowance and its reset time.
Platty vs. AI agents
Platty is for people working in Planytic. To let a coding agent such as Claude Code or Cursor work on your board, use an AI access token.
