01Who we are and what this covers
Planytic Software Development Services (“Planytic,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Planytic. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, use our applications and APIs, or contact us. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to support@planytic.com.
We are responsible for the account, security, and operational information we use to run our business. When an organization uses Planytic to manage information about its staff, customers, or other people, we process that workspace content on its behalf. The organization controls why that information is submitted and who can access it; its own privacy notice may also apply.
02Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, account settings, and authentication information. If you sign in through Google or GitHub, we receive the profile and identifiers authorized for that sign-in. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plain text.
- Workspace content: projects, boards, tickets, documents, comments, files, assignments, invitations, and the activity associated with them.
- Device and technical information: IP addresses, browser or device information, session identifiers, sign-in activity, and request or error information used to operate and protect the Service.
- Feedback reports: the report and any identity information supplied, page URL and title, browser details, screenshots, or recordings you submit. Depending on the reporting app’s settings, reports can include console messages, network request metadata, and other diagnostic context. A recording can include audio when you choose to provide it.
- AI and integration information: prompts, conversations, attachments, relevant project context, connected account identifiers, access permissions, and integration activity needed for features you use.
- Billing and support information: plan and subscription details, payment status and references, and messages you send us. Payment providers collect payment credentials through their checkout; Planytic does not need your full card number or card security code.
Information may come directly from you, from people who invite you or collaborate with you, from an app using our feedback tools, or from a service you connect. Avoid submitting secrets or sensitive personal information that is not needed for your work.
03How and why we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; provide collaboration and storage; send invitations and service messages; process subscriptions; respond to support requests; troubleshoot problems; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service where those interests do not override your rights, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. You may withdraw consent by contacting us; withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Optional integrations and AI features use the information needed to perform the actions you request. We do not use your workspace content to serve targeted advertisements.
05AI tools and feedback reports
When you use Platty, your prompt and relevant context—such as project details, tickets, documents, comments, or attachments—may be sent to the configured AI model provider to generate a response. You do not need to use AI features to use ordinary project planning. Provider retention and model-training practices are governed by that provider’s applicable terms; do not submit information you are not authorized to share.
If you connect an external AI agent using an API token or MCP connection, that tool can access information within the permissions you grant and may process it outside Planytic. You can revoke its token to stop future access; revocation does not delete copies already received by that tool.
When a third-party app uses Planytic’s feedback SDK, its operator decides how reporting is configured and what diagnostic information is submitted. That operator is responsible for explaining its collection and obtaining any necessary permissions. Send requests concerning a report in that organization’s project to the organization; we can assist it in handling those requests.
07Retention, security, and transfers
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described here. The period depends on the type of information, your account and workspace activity, instructions from the relevant organization, and requirements to keep financial or legal records, resolve disputes, or prevent abuse.
You can request account closure or deletion at support@planytic.com. Some information may need to remain for legal, security, or recordkeeping reasons, and backup copies may persist until replaced through normal backup cycles. Content shared with an organization may remain under that organization’s control; deleting your account does not necessarily delete its project records.
We use access controls, authentication safeguards, and other technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials safe and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
Our providers and collaborators may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers. Contact us for information about transfers relevant to your account.
08Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to be informed about processing, access or obtain a copy of your information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive portable data. These rights may be subject to lawful exceptions.
Use available account settings or contact support@planytic.com to make a request. Tell us what you need and which account or workspace is involved. We may need to verify your identity and authority before disclosing or changing information, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not deny you applicable rights because you make a privacy request.
If an organization controls the information, contact its workspace owner first. You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction over your concern. In the Philippines, this is the National Privacy Commission.
09Children and student privacy
Students aged 13 and older may use Planytic. Users under 18, or under the age of legal majority where they live, must have permission from a parent or legal guardian as described in our Terms of Service. Higher minimum ages and additional consent requirements may apply under local law. Planytic is not directed to children under 13, and they must not create an account or use the Service.
Schools, teachers, and workspace owners must have the authority and permissions required by applicable law before inviting students or uploading their personal information. An invitation alone does not replace required parent or guardian permission. Student information is handled for the purposes and with the providers described in this policy; joining a school workspace does not make everything you share private from its members or administrators.
For students, in plain language:
- We use your account information to let you sign in, and your projects, tasks, and files to provide planning and collaboration features.
- People with access to your workspace, project, or shared links may see what you post. Share only what your project needs; avoid posting your home address, private school records, passwords, or other sensitive information.
- If you use AI features, your message and relevant project information may be sent to an AI provider. Ask a parent, guardian, or teacher if you are unsure what is safe to share.
- You can ask us about your information or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing support@planytic.com. A parent or guardian can help you make a request.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, or a student is using Planytic without required permission, contact support@planytic.com. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, including restricting access and deleting information collected without the required authorization, subject to applicable legal obligations. We may need to verify the identity and authority of a parent or guardian before acting on a request.
10Updates and getting in touch
We may update this policy when our practices or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. We will communicate material changes through the Service or by email where appropriate, and obtain consent where required.
For privacy questions or requests, contact Planytic Software Development Services at support@planytic.com. Our Terms of Service explain the rules for using Planytic.
